Angelica Lockyer

Bio

Angelica is a gender-queer Aboriginal performer from the Pilbara and a 2021 Graduate from Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Acting).   Highlights at WAAPA include Gloria and Julius Caesar.  Angelica made their professional theatre debut in The Return, directed by Matthew Lutton and Jason Tamiru, for Malthouse Theatre, and was an ensemble cast member of development The Confessions for RISING in Melbourne, directed by British theatre director and author Alexander Zeldin.  Other theatre credits include the musical Panawathi Girl, as well as Lingo Lah Lah both for Yirra Yaakin Theatre. Angelica played the lead role in online series Yokai before then moving to Sydney. Recently she has appeared in Fruit Box’s production of Back to Birdy, as well as a development for Sex. Riot. Repeat.  Angelica was a co-recipient of 2023 Green Room Award for Most Outstanding Ensemble (The Return, Malthouse Theatre)
